MunchMoney was created because we missed the ease and efficiency of our college meal plans and were tired of managing dozens of different loyalty apps for every restaurant we wanted to go to. Not only did these apps take up valuable space on our phones, but the rewards we received after months of accumulating points were mediocre at best. Because of this, we set out to create a college meal plan for real life.
But, that was just the first step. From market research, and from our own experience working in the restaurant industry, we realized that current loyalty programs did not make the restaurants measurably more successful.
We decided to approach this problem from an angle that fulfilled the true potential of loyalty programs for restaurants, while delivering convenient and consistent rewards for consumers - all in one place.
Now, we connect our users and fast-casual restaurant partners to enable a proactive relationship of prepayments and discounts, along with other perks and promotions. Providing a restaurant with upfront cash is extremely valuable to them, and we ensure them that capital. So, we feel that users should be fairly compensated in return.
